RIVERDALE, Utah (ABC4) — Multiple lanes on southbound I-15 were blocked near Riverdale on Tuesday morning following a crash involving four cars.
The crash happened just before 8 a.m. near mile marker 340 in Riverdale. Details on what caused the crash are limited but Cpl. Haley Scheer with Utah Highway Patrol said one of the cars collided with the center barricade.
Scheer confirmed there have been injuries as a result of the crash but none of them are considered to be life-threatening. However, the crash led to significant delays on southbound I-15 from Ogden.
As of 9 a.m., the UDOT Traffic website indicates slowed congestion for over four miles from the crash site. UDOT warned drivers to expect “extended delays.”
As crews work to clear the scene, drivers are advised to consider using 2100 South or 3100 South as an alternate route.
