Danville city officials host public input session for Garfield Park

DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) – The City of Danville is looking to move forward with the Garfield Park Revitalization Project.

The City is seeking funding for recreational improvements through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources’ Open Space Lands Acquisition & Development Grant Program.

On Wednesday, the City of Danville will host a public input session to discuss those improvements of Garfield Park, from 3 to 4 p.m.

The City of Danville and Farnsworth Group will provide an overview of the grant’s objectives and the city’s long-term vision for the park.

They also have a survey online, asking community members a list of questions like: “How often does your household visit Garfield Park/pool?” and “How satisfied are you with the current conditions of the park?”
