2 taken to hospital, 'extrication tools' used after multi-vehicle crash in Hurricane


HURRICANE, Utah (ABC4) — Two people were taken to the hospital after two cars crashed in Hurricane on Saturday afternoon, according to officials.

According to Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue, emergency crews responded around 4:30 p.m. to the scene of the crash, which happened at 1150 W State Street. Two vehicles were involved, and there were six passengers, officials said.

“Extrication tools were required to free some of the individuals from one of the vehicles,” Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue said on social media.

Of the six passengers involved, two were taken to the hospital and four were treated — and later released — at the scene.

In addition to several units from Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue, the Hurricane City Police Department responded to the scene.

Officials did not immediately disclose information about the conditions of the passengers who were taken to the hospital.
