F1 24 system requirements

What are the F1 24 system requirements? Formula 1 games are often used as benchmarks for new PC hardware and the latest Codemasters racing game, F1 24, brings with it some very reasonable minimum and recommended specs.

You won’t need the best graphics card to get the most out of F1 24, but pushing for the prettiest visuals and fastest frame rates will be difficult if you’re on an older gaming PC.

Here are the F1 24 system requirements:

MinimumRecommended (ray tracing)
OSWindows 10 or laterWindows 10 or later
GPUNvidia GeForce GTX 1060
AMD Radeon RX 480
Intel Arc A380
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070
AMD Radeon RX 6600XT
Intel Arc A580
CPUIntel Core i5 9600K
AMD FX 4300
Intel Core i5 9600K
AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
RAM8GB16GB
Storage100GB available100GB available

The F1 24 minimum requirements are as expected, with the now-defunct Nvidia GTX 1060 graphics card holding the fort as the entry-level option. Alongside this pixel pusher, you’ll need the quad-core AMD FX 4300 or six-core Intel Core i5 9600K.

Looking towards the F1 24 recommended specs, these are very different and much higher than expected. This is because the recommended tier covers what you need for ray tracing gameplay.

There’s a considerable jump in the GPU, with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT being what is needed. Luckily, the CPU demands don’t change too much, as a six-core gaming CPU should still see you through.

It might have made more sense to split the system requirements for F1 24 a little more, as there are also VR requirements mixed in with everything else. Clear minimum and recommended tiers followed by ray tracing and VR specs would have made everything a lot clearer.

The F1 24 download size demands 100GB of hard drive space, but given the loading times can sometimes be brutal, we recommend using a fast gaming SSD, even if the system requirements don’t.

If you were hoping to play F1 24 on Steam Deck, we have some bad news, because the game appears unlikely to gain Verified status due to anti-cheat issues. However, we’ve also broken down the best F1 24 settings for PC, so you can give them a try and see if your frame rate is fast enough to take pole position.
